Online school solves the academics. It can leave the rest of childhood behind. We built iHubs to fix that half too.

Why we built it
Online school can fix the timetable. A child moves at their own pace, gets the subjects they want and stops waiting for a class of thirty.
It does not fix the part where they see people their own age on a Tuesday. The part where somebody shows them how a bank account works. The part where they build something with their hands and it does not go into a report.
iHubs is the online school. The hubs are not schools and do not teach curriculum. They run clubs, activities and personal development alongside the online academics.
The iHubs model
The online school handles the academics. The local hub brings back the practical work, activities and familiar faces a screen cannot give.

Robotics, VR, art, digital creativity, Adulting 101 and time with the same faces every week. The curriculum stays online; the hub is for everything else.

Hub Operator · Hermanus
My goal is simple: to help every student find their place, discover what they enjoy, and feel that they belong.
I’m passionate about creating a learning environment where every student feels seen, heard, supported and valued. I love connecting with students, getting to know what motivates them, and helping them stay on track with both their academic and personal goals.
My approach combines encouragement, accountability and personalised support. I believe that when students feel understood and are given the right strategies and support, they can build confidence and truly thrive.
I also believe there is a place for everyone to enjoy school and learning in a way that feels safe, comfortable and right for them. That is one of the things I love about iHubs. iHubs Online creates exciting opportunities for all kinds of learners, extending far beyond academics.
For homeschooling families, the social side of learning can sometimes be a challenge. The Hermanus Hub helps bridge that gap, giving students opportunities to connect, build friendships, take part in activities, develop new skills and be part of a community, while still having the flexibility and personalised approach that online learning offers.

Hub Operator · Port Elizabeth
iHubs Port Elizabeth is about creating a place where learners can learn, connect, grow and, most importantly, feel that they belong.
I have always believed that every learner needs a place where they feel safe, accepted and part of a community. While homeschooling offers many wonderful opportunities and flexibility, I also feel that there is a real need for homeschool learners to have a place where they can come together, study, develop social skills, and build meaningful connections with others.
I want to create a space where homeschool learners do not feel that they are learning on their own. A place where they can meet other learners, make friends, socialise and take part in activities that help them develop important personal and life skills.
The social and developmental clubs are especially important to me because I believe that education is about so much more than academic achievement. Learners need opportunities to develop confidence, communication, teamwork, leadership and independence, while also discovering their interests and building relationships with others.
My hope is to create a safe and welcoming environment where every homeschool learner feels included and knows that they belong. I want them to have the opportunity to be part of a community, while still enjoying the freedom and benefits that homeschooling offers.
The founders
Three disciplines, one responsibility: build something families can understand before they commit to it.

Cobus has spent more than two decades in international education, across school leadership, consultancy and accreditation. At iHubs he owns the academic model and the standard the school is held to.

Kaisa spent twenty years in corporate finance and a decade in international school leadership. At iHubs she runs the finances and governance, making sure the school is built to last.

Felix runs a performance marketing agency that works with online schools, curriculum providers and education companies. At iHubs he is responsible for how families find the school and what they are told before they arrive.
The people around each student
Parents should know who is responsible for what, so the support does not disappear into a generic help desk.
Teachers deliver live and recorded lessons, mark work and provide one-to-one help when a concept needs focused attention.
One person reviews planning, engagement and progress across subjects, and catches problems early.
The academic route leads to Pearson Edexcel International GCSEs and A-Levels. Qualification and exam-entry details are explained before enrolment.
